God in the Ordinary Moments

The following post is adapted from my personal academic coursework.

A fellow student shared the moment she first knew she could lead on a large scale. This was interesting to me because in my own life it seems that the moments that define our lives often seem so ordinary as they take place. I often do not realize their significance until I reflect upon them and see where they have led. However, while it may be difficult to see the hand of God at work in the day-to-day moments, His fingerprints are smeared all over us when we look back in hindsight. Whether we are following the steps He has ordered for us (Psalm 37:23 NKJV) or whether He is turning what others meant for evil into good for us (Genesis 50:20), it is quite clear that as Romans 8:28 states, “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
