Matt Garris
Matt Garris is an educator, leader, and writer who explores life at the intersection of faith, culture, and leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Wingate University, a Master of Arts in Executive Leadership from Gardner-Webb University, and both an Executive Certificate in Strategic Leadership and a Ph.D. in Education (Organizational Leadership) from Liberty University. A combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps and former Teacher of the Year, Matt has led, mentored, and taught throughout the K–12 spectrum, and leverages his cross-sector leadership experience to drive impact, build capacity, and achieve strategic outcomes. Dr. Garris is also the founder and president of the ChASM Project and leads Matt Garris Media. He lives near Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife and four daughters, and they are active in their church and community.
